As the saying goes, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" and this fortnight really does feel that way for the Etymon Concierge team.

Thais started with the Etymon Concierge team on the 18th of October 2021, and after 15 months and 4 days at Blue at Lavender Bay she finished her final shift on Sunday 22nd of January 2023. Over the last 461 days our smallest concierge, with the most infectious smile and a mountain of energy, has won the hearts of everyone she has met, formed great relationships and friendships, she'll carry in her heart always, as we will her.

Thais is now having a well earned holiday exploring Tasmania, before coming back to Sydney in a week to pack, have some farewell drinks. Next stop is the sunny Gold Coast and continuing her studies at Griffiths University in a Bachelor of Nursing. It is with a very heavy heart Etymon Concierge says "goodbye" to part of our family.

In much happier news, Juliany is finally coming back to Etymon Concierge after 11 weeks on holiday. Juliany has been missing in action since 21st November when she jumped on a plane to Qatar to see an handful of the Brazil 2023 World Cup matches, then it was on to Brazil to see family and friends.

It has been 4 years since Juliany has been back to Brazil so we are sure the trip was a rollercoaster of emotions, happy reunions, seeing all her family and friends, speaking only Portuguese and a lot of stories to share. Thankfully Juliany will be back just in time to help farewell Thais, which is bound to be a very tearful afternoon.

The only positive we can find in all this is that Blue will stop confusing Thais for Juliany, and Juliany for Thais 😉
